How To Create or Set-up A Self-Hosted Blogger Blog?

If you have blogspot blog and you want to make it into a self-hosted blogger blog but you don't how to set-up it because you don't even know how to start. Don't worry, I will teach you how to create or setup a self-hosted blogger blog. I just want to make it simple so that you will understand very well and you must follow the simple steps or instruction to set-up your self-hosted blogger blog. So, here's the instructions you need to follow. Read it carefully and understand every steps.

1. You should have blogger account from blogger.com or if you already have it, just log-in to your account and go to Settings then Publishing.

2. In Publishing, you see the link "Switch to: Custom Domain" (Point your own registered domain name to your blog), click it and you will see the option if you want to buy a domain for your blog or if you already have a domain, just Switch to advanced settings and enter your own domain. (Note: This Set-up instruction is only for Godaddy's domain.)

3. After entering your domain in the box, you need to login to you Godaddy account and go to your domain manager then click your domain you want to set-up. Click the "Launch" from DNS Manager. You will see the presentation photos for the next step. (See photos)

4. After clicking Luanch from DNS Manager, you navigate to Zone File Editor. In A (Host) setttings, you need to add the following parameters to "Points to" as you will see the following photos.
(Note: You should add "@" for every parameters.)

You can save the changes or later after you finish set-up the Step #5 below:

5. Go to CNAME (Alias) and enter "ghs.google.com" next to "www" as you will see the following photo.

Save the changes and you can leave Godaddy account.

6. Go back to your blogger account in Publishing Settings and save the settings.
7. After saving the settings, you will see yourdomain.com must redirect to www.yourdomain.com as you will see the following photo.

Save the settings again and your self-hosted blogger blog set-up finished. You will need to wait up to 24 hours in order to your site or blog live. Sometimes it takes only 2 to 3 hours to be live, just browse your site or blog URL to Google chrome, Internet explorer and Mozilla firefox. After that, refresh or reload each browser with your URL then you will the results. You Self-hosted blogger blog is now live!
